The Cyberlink Website Development Process
At Cyberlink we employ the project management methodology in our website development process. We have, through our experience and training, learnt that Project management methodologies not only help us in developing a robust website but also ensures that the end product meets the customer requirement.
At Cyberlink we take an inclusive and consultative approach to web development. All our website development projects involve a lot of input and consultation with the customer and stakeholders at every stage of the web design process. The consultation starts very early in our website development process. As the customer first contacts us, we take great care in understanding the customersf requirement. We make sure that we understand their business, business model and what exactly they require from their website design and website development.
Once we have understood customersf needs and expectations from their website, we then present an elaborate proposal built around our understanding of customersf website requirements. This proposal includes the functionality and design that is offered to the customer and a fixed price for the website development. This proposal is just a mode of detailing the end product and is modified if new requirements are highlighted in the website design and process.
Once the project is finalised, we then develop a website design. This website design is developed keeping in mind the corporate identity of the customer. Once the design passes our expectations, we then present this design to the customer to obtain their feedback. The customers feedback is then included in developing the variation of the original design. This process of feedback is continued till we reach a website design that meets the customersf requirements and expectations.
The next step of our website developers and website development process is to convert the homepage design created in the previous website development step into a working template. This includes the animation, the mouse-over and other graphical effects the homepage will have. Again the customersf feedback is sorted and the changes to the website design are made till the customer is heavy.
The next step in our website development process is to start designing the internal pages, developing (designing) the database and start programming the functionality of the website (if this is a dynamic website). On completion of the programming stage, the website is presented to the customer using our client extranet. We discuss the functionality and information that has been included in the website development and confirm that it meets customersf requirement. Based on customersf feedback, any changes are implemented.
The last (but a very integral part of our web development process) stage of the website design and website developer process is testing. The functionality and the programming code are thoroughly tested by our testers for its robustness and uniformity.
Once our testers are happy, the website is implemented and made live. However, our quality process does not stop here. We then provide a 90 days warranty for any bugs or errors that may surface in our programming code.
eCommerce
An eCommerce shopping cart can enable your business to take advantage of worldwide customer-bases that are outside your usual reach. Unlike an actual store, having an online shop costs very little to run and opens an avenue for increased sales.
Online advertising
Advertising zones can be placed on your site so that you can enjoy the benefits of your site’s popularity. Our designers will create a tasteful layout that gives the advertisements prominence without overpowering your website content.
eNewsletters
eNewsletters are a cost-effective promotional tool that will enable you to keep your clients up to date with upcoming products or services. We are able to provide you with a system that you can use to create professional-looking e-newsletters designed to match your website.
